Baby Room Decorations For Your Toddler

Decorating your baby's room is one of the most interesting and eventful time in the upbringing of your child. You will want the nursery to be perfect as your baby will spend most of the time there in her early years. Moreover, you too will spend lots of time in your baby's room and so it should be designed according to your choice and liking. You need to decide your budget and you will need to rent some things like excavating equipment etc if you need to get it reconstructed.

For your baby room decorations, you can either choose from the available options in stores or you can go for customized ones that will be unique and perfectly according to your choice. You can start with the furniture. You will need a crib or a bed, a gliding rocker, a feeding chair, dresser. It is always better to get furniture that can be expanded and converted as your child grows up. You will have to pay slightly more but this type of furniture can last for ten years instead of two. Similarly, you can go for 'two or three in one' furniture which takes up lesser space and costs less than even half of the combined cost of those two or three separate pieces of furniture. Many different kinds of bedding and blankets are available too.

Moving on to the walls, there are many great options too. The walls can be painted, designed or wallpaper. Colors are more convenient as you can it is less messy to get the room re-painted after two or three years when the child wants a new theme or design. But for now, you can design the room according to your own choice. You may want either bright or light, sober shades. Try a different color scheme other than the traditional pink or blue base. Use patterns either on the ceiling, on the top or the bottom half and let the remaining parts be done in solid colors. Now for the accessories, you can choose them according to the gender. There are sporty themes for boys and softer fairy tale themes for girls. If you do not want the accessories to be gender specific, there are evergreen themes like cartoon characters, beach themes, sky colors etc. There are also other accessories like framed posters, growth charts etc. There is no end to what you can add in the baby rooms decorations.
